Tested safety
High quality & reliable safety standards
To guarantee this, we are certified by several renowned inspection bodies and arrange for regular inspections of all technical and electrical appliances and cables in the hotel.
Due to the numerous queries we have received, we would like to clarify that we heat with a wood chip stove, with the finest filter system. We generate electricity and recover heat from our combined heat and power plants (approx. 80 KW electricity in total and 160 KW heat) and use liquid gas, which is a by-product of petrol production. We have also installed photovoltaic systems on open roof areas to generate additional electricity in summer. Residual electricity is purchased from pure eco-electricity. In addition, we completely renovated the façade of the building last year in order to reduce energy consumption as much as possible. For this reason, we are in no way affected by the gas shortage caused by the Russian crisis. Furthermore, we heat our swimming pool mainly from the heat recovery of our freezing and cooling units. Our ventilation systems are all of the latest standard and have an efficiency of 90%.

At the Hotel Feldberger Hof, we rely on proOXiON room air ionisers for natural freshness. By generating negative ions without ozone, pollen, fine dust, viruses and bacteria are effectively bound and eliminated. Scientifically proven, we achieve up to 99.95 % virus- and bacteria-free air. Quality "Made in Germany", energy-efficient and noiseless - for the well-being of our guests. Ionisation only takes place in the public areas.
The environment says thank you
Since 2007, Feldberger Hof has been committed to sustainability and has therefore played a pioneering role in environmental protection. In cooperation with ClimatePartner, we are regularly re-certified and also purchase certificates to support the financing of climate protection projects.
Extensive renovations have made it possible to avoid or significantly reduce the production of the greenhouse gas CO2. Heating is provided by a modern combined heat and power plant based on wood chips. These measures have resulted in savings of over 600 tons of CO2 and 300,000 liters of heating oil.
An excellent connection to local public transport with free use of buses and trains for guests as well as other smaller measures round off the climate protection package.
Thomas Banhardt, owner of the Feldberger Hof, says: "Our commitment to climate protection should inspire people to think, but also to imitate and sensitize our families.
Familotel and sustainability belong together
Our youngest guests are the parents of tomorrow, our own children the hosts of tomorrow. They should all continue to find an environment worth living in and see the same possibilities and opportunities as we have today.
For this reason, we have undergone a comprehensive review and received the Familotel Sustainability Seal. The inspection catalog included a total of 307 criteria and was developed on the basis of recognized frameworks. In order to receive the coveted seal, at least 50% of the possible total points must be achieved.
We are very pleased about the award and see it as an incentive to continue our full commitment to a future worth living. Further information can be found here: https://www.familotel.com/de/erlebniswelten/nachhaltigkeit/
