TÜV NORD performs inspections based on the criteria of the German Child Protection Agency, which guarantee that our hotel is child-friendly and safe.

Feldberger Hof is subject to a uniform, strict assessment of its particular suitability for families with children.

Among the Top 25 family hotels

The Traveller’s Choice Award is based solely on the hotel reviews from our guests. TripAdvisor analysed the users‘ reviews and selected the best hotels for the various categories. The result: we are among the Top 25 family hotels in Germany.

Whether it’s service, sleep quality or value for money, we managed to achieve the highest scores in various categories and thus position ourselves among the best hotels.

Hospitality HR Award 2016

One of Germany’s best employers

Our personnel development concept makes us one of Germany’s best employers.

This was confirmed by the jury for the Hospitality HR Awards 2016 when they selected the best and most innovative personnel management concepts. We were awarded the HGK honorary prize for our holistic personnel development concept. With the Hospitality Award 2016, the specialist “first class” magazine and the German Hotel Academy recognised for the fourth time sustainable personnel management concepts from the hotel industry in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The focus was on innovative and original measures for attracting and retaining employees that are viewed as best practice.

HR Excellence Awards 2018 & 2020 & 2023

Excellent training

The "Management Development at the Feldberger Hof" project was one of the best submissions at the Human Resources Excellence Awards and prevailed in a tough competition with over 450 applications in the Management Development category. The HR Excellence Awards are the platform for outstanding performances in the area of future-oriented personnel work. They recognise innovative flagship personnel management projects in 23 categories.

Our training concept was certified with the "Excellent Training in the Hotel Industry” seal of quality.

Employee appreciation

Thomas Banhardt, the hotel owner, hopes that the “Excellent Training” seal of quality will offer a valuable competitive advantage when it comes to recruiting young talent. “Our trainees are the managers of tomorrow. We want to support them at the Feldberger Hof but also challenge them. The certificate will help us to communicate this philosophy to the outside world. That’s why we decided to apply for the HDV seal of quality two years ago.” The idea is already starting to bear fruit. “The certification is very well-received by our trainees, as it shows how much we appreciate our employees,” explained Banhardt. “In turn, our apprentices act as ambassadors for the Feldberger Hof, for example in the vocational school. We’ve already had cases where hotel sector trainees who started their training elsewhere wanted to finish their apprenticeship with us, as they heard that training is taken very seriously at the Feldberger Hof.”

Sports and Leisure Award 2023

First place at the German Sports and Leisure Award 2023, presented by the DISQ (German Institute for Service Quality), in collaboration with our partner and client ntv Nachrichtenfernsehen. In this accolade, the Feldberger Hof brand was honored as the overall winner in the "Family-Active-Hotels" category.

Most family-friendly hotel 2021

In November 2021, we were again awarded the accolade of the most family-friendly hotel in Baden-Wuerttemberg.

Top Hotel Family Cup 2019

For the seventh time, the FREIZEIT-VERLAG LANDSBERG recognised the best family hotels in the German-speaking area the Family Cup 2019.

DEHOGA Environment Check 2019

For the third time in succession, the family hotel was awarded the gold “DEHOGA Environment Check” for green ideas and sustainable efforts towards climate protection.
